Description: This project implements the recommendations of the research conducted under TxDOT Project 0-6758: Maintaining Project Consistency with Transportation Plans throughout the Project Life Cycle with an Emphasis on Maintaining Air Quality Conformity: Technical Report. The report summarizes the feedback received from workshop participants as they were trained on project consistency and air quality conformity strategies.

Objectives: The objective of this implementation project is to inform practitioners at TxDOT of best practices for project development. The project included training workshops for TxDOT districts and MPOs, and then based on feedback from participants, the project team improved and finalized the training materials used.

Findings: State agencies and MPOs looking to improve their project development process and minimize project inconsistencies could benefit from conducting similar training workshops, in order to equip practitioners with tools and best practices.

Recommendations: The project emphasizes the value TxDOT places on project consistency as a strategy for streamlining project development. Training practitioners on minimizing project inconsistencies can prevent project delays, promote efficiency, and maintain cost effective practices.
